Some advice for new UW students from a few graduating seniors:

  • Try new things, including new languages - get outside your comfort zone
  • Chat with people in your classes to get to know them and find study partners
  • Join a FIG
  • Take a culture and civilization course related to your language
  • Get to know instructors and take advantage of office hours
  • Live in a dorm and participate in dorm activities
