Language learning makes me feel less cut off from the world.

Spanish has expanded my world and ability to communicate and connect with so many more people.

Studying languages has made me a more understanding and communicative individual. In the case of Swahili, we spent the majority of time third year discussing political and societal issues in East Africa. By forcing myself to think critically and express myself using a completely different grammatical system and vocabulary, I broadened my capacity to understand another culture.

Living and working abroad opened my eyes to the world in ways I didn't know possible.

Learning another language really can do more for you than you know.

Being able to travel to and live in a foreign country without having to rely on English is a very proud and empowering experience.

The study of Spanish empowered me to develop life-long relationships, gave me the opportunity to study abroad, led me to further my graduate study of Spanish literature, and helped me meet my wife.

Studying languages has meant everything to me.

Learning a new language or learning about your own language will help you discover so much about that culture.

Spanish language studies have provided me a level of comfort and mastery to conduct business in Latin America.
