Learning a new language or learning about your own language will help you discover so much about that culture.

Immersion in a language and culture greatly supplements your study of the language.

I can do things personally and professionally that limit others.

Learning a language has exposed me to more than just words, but to culture, to people, and different ways of thinking.

I loved the small class sizes. I loved getting to know the faculty early on and having them remember me a year later when I took another class with them.

Learning languages has enriched my life in many ways, and has has enabled me to communicate with people with whom I would otherwise not be able to communicate.

Living and working abroad opened my eyes to the world in ways I didn't know possible.

Take every opportunity to practice your secondary language, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes.

Language has enriched my life professionally because I am qualified for many different positions based on my language skills and have the ability to acquire more.

The study of Spanish empowered me to develop life-long relationships, gave me the opportunity to study abroad, led me to further my graduate study of Spanish literature, and helped me meet my wife.
